Project Name: IDIS

As a nationwide database, IDIS provides HUD with current information regarding the program activities underway across the Nation, including funding data. HUD uses this information to report to Congress and to monitor grantees. IDIS is the draw down and reporting system for the four CPD formula grant programs: CDBG, HOME, ESG, and HOPWA; and for CPD competitive grant program HOPWA Competitive. The system allows grantees to request their grant funding from HUD and report on what is accomplished with these funds. Grantees also use IDIS for Recovery Act programs: CDBG-R, TCAP and HPRP. Grantees also use IDIS for Consolidated Planning.

Implemented enhancements and fixes to the Integrated Disbursement and Information System (IDIS) Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) and Consolidated Plan (ConPlan). Utilized mature enterprise Java technologies such as Struts, Spring Framework and Hibernate.

Implemented initial design and architecture of the HUD Environmental Review Online System (HEROS). Implemented infrastructure code utilizing modern web and enterprise Java technologies such as Ajax, JavaServer Faces, Java Persistence API, Enterprise JavaBeans, Contexts and Dependency Injection.

Project Name: US-VISIT

United States Visitor and Immigrant Status Indicator Technology (commonly referred to as US-VISIT) is a United States Department of Homeland Security immigration and border management system. The system involves the collection and analysis of biometric data (such as fingerprints), which are checked against a database to track individuals deemed by the United States to be terrorists, criminals, and illegal immigrants. US-VISIT is accessed by 30,000 users from federal, state, and local government agencies.

Ensode Technology provided software architecture, design, development and documentation of a enterprise web service based messaging application for the US-VISIT project. State of the art technologies were employed, such as Java EE/J2EE, EJB 3.0, JPA, JMS, JAX-WS, Oracle 11G. The developed system interacts with several external systems for different government agencies such as FBI, CBP and others. Participated in the documentation of existing subsystems including development of UML Class, Sequence and Collaboration diagrams. Additionally contributed to the effort of identifying, prioritizing and developing use cases for different subsystems.

Project Name: Army Knowledge Online /Defense Knowledge Online (AKO/DKO)

Army Knowledge Online/Defense Knowledge Online (DKO) provides corporate intranet services and single web portal to the United States Army. AKO provides the US Army with email, directory services, portal, single sign on, blogs, file storage, instant messenger, and chat. All members of the Active Duty, National Guard, Reserves, DA Civilian and select contractor workforce have an account which grants access to Army web assets, tools, and services worldwide. In addition, retirees and family members are also entitled to accounts. All users can build pages, create file storage areas, and create and participate in discussion on the portal. Users can build custom access control lists for each piece of content they own to determine the audience allowed to see or use their content.

Our firm provided software architecture, design and development of a web-based enterprise identity management solution for Army Knowledge Online/Defense Knowledge Online (AKO/DKO). The application supports approximately 2 million users including Active Army and Reserve personnel, as well as civilian Army personnel, contractors and family members. Participated in the development of several subsystems including the web-based user interface, LDAP interaction and Oracle Database interaction. The application uses Computer Associates Identity Manager tool. Technologies and API's involved include Java EE/J2EE, JBoss Application Server, JSF, Struts, Hibernate, iBatis, ANT, Oracle, LDAP.

Project Name: Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) Modernization

The Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) is the United States commercial trade processing system designed to automate border processing, to enhance border security and foster our Nation's economic security through lawful international trade and travel. ACE will eventually replace the current import processing system for U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the Automated Commercial System (ACS). ACE is part of amulti-year CBP modernization effort that is being deployed in phases. ACE provides a solid technology foundation for all border security initiatives within CBP Ensode Technology, LLC provided software architecture, design and development for the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) modernization project. The application is used by CBP agents to process information about commercial vehicles entering the country through any border. Our firm focused on the design and development of the user interface components for the system, employing the Java Swing API. Technologies and APIs include Java, J2EE, Java EE, Websphere, Swing, JSF, EJB.
